How it all startedHow it all started

After leaving school at age 16, Dave's passion for Ford's began when he began his motor vehicle apprenticeship at Meteor Ford, a Ford main dealer in Birmingham and then later, at Sandicliffe Ford Main Dealers, also in Birmingham. (He met his Wife Angela there too).

After enjoying many classic Ford vehicles including two Lotus Cortina's and a string of Escort Mexico and RS2000's, he later settled into the earlier Ford era from 1928 to 1949.

At the current time, Dave owns three Ford Model A's, a 1929 Phaeton, a 1929 closed cab pickup and a 1930 Tudor sedan, plus a 1934 Ford V8 Pickup.

2007 has seen the 20th anniversary since Dave started his Mobile Phone business. He was there at the start, when Vodafone launched the first Network.

In 2001 Dave moved premises and with Dave's Wife Angela having a collection of Teddy Bears, Dave asked Angela if she thought that a Specialist Teddy Bear shop would be a good idea? Angela did not hesitate in saying Yes!

Since then, Ashby Bears has become one of the leading Specialist collectors bear shops in the UK, together with a huge web site presence. Check them out at www.ashbybears.com

After many years of purchasing parts for his own vintage Ford's he started to import parts direct from the USA. With his experience of designing and operating the Ashby Bears web site, Dave decided to set up a comprehensive website for vintage Ford parts, so here is the result. Old Ford Parts.co.uk
